RULES & REGULATIONS

( IF THESE RULES ARE NOT ADHERED TO DISQUALIFICATION WILL APPLY )
  • Mandatory Safety meeting must be attended and will be held before major events.
  • It is compulsory for all vessel Captains to attend the drivers meeting on the morning of all events or at times as directed by PRA.
  • All skippers must hold a Western Australian Recreational Skippers Ticket and provide the appropriate ticket number on members form where indicated.
  • All vessels participating in PRA sanctioned events must comply with all DPI regulations for power driven vessels of the relevant size.
  • All vessels participating in PRA sanctioned events must be insured, and have a minimum of $10million Third Party Coverage. A copy of the current insurance policy is to be provided with membership application.
  • All Poker Running vessels must go to all stops.
  • A safe distance of at least 50 meters is to be maintained between Poker Run vessels.
  • All captains and crew on a vessel's traveling at >40+ knots and/or <23 feet must wear a PFD at all times.
  • Ignition lanyards must be in use at all times for vessels traveling at >40+ knots and/or <23 feet.
  • Do Not swap and change lanes. If the need arises to change lanes for any reason be careful and double check traffic approaching from behind.
  • When stopping or slowing down check for traffic behind as they may not be able to stop at the same rate. Signal to surrounding drivers that you are stopping by passengers waving their hands above their heads.
  • No passing of the pace boat unless indicated by pace boat with a green flag.
  • No alcohol is to be consumed by drivers or passengers before or during the Poker Run.
  • If alcohol induced behavior is deemed detrimental to the integrity or reputation of Poker Runs Australia Pty Ltd, membership will be terminated indefinitely.
  • Drug use is not tolerated and will result in membership termination.
  • Strictly a Poker Runs Australia Pty Ltd members only event. The members event sticker must be displayed on the vessel's topside/foredeck so it is visible from the air and all crew must be current Poker Runs Australia club members.
  • All photography and videography captured during a Poker Runs Australia event is to be used for personal use only. Poker Runs Australia employs the services of professionals to capture quality photographs and video, including the use of helicopters, during all major events which are made available to members at discount prices. This service can only be maintained with the support of all members. Failure to adhere to this may result in membership termination.
Club membership is at the discretion of Poker Runs Australia and may be revoked at any time. These rules are to ensure events are enjoyable for all members.
